Environmental design simulations

Regular project design focuses on compliance and standard validation. Our approach consists of a technical analysis using simulations seeking the following goals.

GOALS

Design stage:

  • Decisions taken in early design stages have a huge impact on performance and final building cost. Simulations let you optimize decision making during schematic design step.
  • Project designs can have many variations due to the requirements and ideas of the different stakeholders (owner, architects, engineers and constructors). Integrating simulations ins early design allows you to have a great deal of options analyzed avoiding further redesigns and at a lower cost.
  • Passive Systems aimed to demand reduction and the use of renewable energies should be analyzed together. Using simulations an energy balance can be obtain which considers both the architectural configuration of the building and the systems attached to it.

Design development:

  • Once the design development is ready the implemented materials, devices and construction systems may have distorted the defined performance for the building. By means of simulations any change from the required goals can be ascertain.

What we offer

1.

Simulations for passive behavior of buildings envelopes and natural lighting using generative design.

2.

Design and calculation of innovative systems for energy demand reduction (Trombe walls, solar chimneys, solar collectors, etc.)

3.

Design and calculation of renewable systems (geothermal, photovoltaic and aerothermal)

4.

CFD simulations (Computer Fluid Dynamics) for air and heat distribution in buildings.
